Bei der Überraschung, die mit einem Countdown auf einer kürzlich erstellten Teaser-Webseite angekündigt wurde, handelt es sich tatsächlich um eine iOS-Version von The World Ends With You, die The World Ends With You Solo Remix heißt.

Das Spiel hat einen überarbeiteten Soundtrack erhalten und auch das Gameplay wurde auf den Einzelbildschirm der Apple-Geräte angepasst. Das Spiel erschien heute weltweit für das iPhone (¥ 1.800, ca. 18,- €) und iPad (¥ 2.000, ca 20,- €). Auf der offiziellen Seite zum Spiel kann man weitere Details nachlesen.
